All of you have probably seen the “get rich quick schemes” that teach you how to make money but never exactly say how you do it, or trick you into thinking you’re going to become the next Bill Gates. While you won’t become the next Bill Gates, there’s no reason why you won’t be able to make enough money working from home to quit your job and live your life on your own terms.
There is a giant shift going on in the online world. Where during the late 90s and throughout the 2000s, everybody was focused on ads. The more eyeballs, the more money you can make from ads, and that’s when we saw all these companies gobbled up for billions of dollars simply because they had 100,000,000 users. Remember Friendster? MySpace? All these companies had tons of eyeballs, and offered their services for free.
This was a great business model, however, it wasn’t worth $1 billion. The problem was, advertisers started getting smarter. It was too hard to track how much they made from simply showing people an ad for pimple cream, or a Ford truck, or anything like that.
Affiliate Marketing
In comes affiliate marketing. For the first time, advertisers were able to pay only for success. What’s known as CPA marketing, ie “Cost Per Action”. That action can be anything, here’s a quick example:

Best Buy offers $50 for anyone that sells a PS3
Your site promotes the PS3 Best Buy and you make money if someone actually buys
In case you can’t tell, this is a seismic shift in how advertising works. Previously, Best Buy would have to pay just to have their ad on your site. Now, they only pay for results.
Sounds like it sucks for YOU, right? Well, it sort of does, but for those of you who put in the extra time to make sure that your ads are targeted are going to get phenomenal results, and make even more money than if Best Buy was paying you $.02 per view of the ad (NOW THAT SUCKS).
