When tables were becoming the doom of layouts and CSS began its rise, CSS Showcase site were popping out from everywhere. They were a great way to show coders that were still not convince about CSS that you could still make really great designs without the tag soup that tables generated.
Now that CSS has been understood to be THE way to create your layout, it seems that those same showcase sites are even more popular. The need to get inspired will always be there and having sites like these is a way to help designers get rid of their “designers block”.
Here is a list of my favorite CSS showcase sites:
This site is my #1 favorite because it is updated almost daily and the sites are separated by topics which is great when looking for inspiration for client work.
Here’s another great showcase where they separate sites into different categories.
Although it is not updated frequently, the “News and Announcements” section is a great resource for all the web designers and developers out there.
Stylegala is another showcase site in the same vein as CSSBeauty. It is not updated very frequently but the News section is often updated by the likes of Cameron Moll. There’s also a “Public News” where you can add your own blog entry to the mix.
A very popular showcase site and updated regularly.
Another popular one and updated regularly.
The new kid on the block. From the Eden Creative crew. The same people behind FreelanceSwitch and PSDTuts. Not only a CSS Showcase but also a Business Cards, Flash and Logo galleries.
Then you have showcases that have a single topic in mind.

Blogs
Of course, one cannot forget the site that started it all
And there you have it. There are literally hundreds of showcase sites out there but these are the ones I found that are the most frequently update and a great resource.
Have fun getting inspired!
