With so many exciting changes going on over the next while we have decided that it would be best if we extended our maintenance over the next month to prevent heart attacks, and allow our staff team to sleep some. Below is our current plans for our exciting maintenance month! We will let you know when each stage is in progress, and when it’s complete. We like to keep you informed with the changes we are making to make your experience here more enjoyable. Keep in mind that we may choose to do them out of the order listed below!
- Change Website Host to Media Temple!!! Media Temple an industry-leading web hosting company based in California. Since 1998, Media Temple has provided businesses worldwide with reliable network environments to host websites. Now, they are our hosting! We feel this is a step in the right direction for The Web Squeeze. Faster Servers, Less Down Time, Better Support, and did I mention FASTER? Media Temple says…”We are a friendly, accessible group of “technology agnostic” engineers, support professionals, and business developers focused on the continued financial success of our company while adding value to the services we provide.”We will keep down time to a minimum during the server move. Unfortunately, we can’t give you an exact amount of down time, nor an estimate until we have our transfer plan finished. But, we will keep you updated! – DONE!!
- Rewrite and optimize backend code to improve speed, reliability, and search engine optimization. Code v2.0 of The Web Squeeze will be released during our very first maintenance month! This should not only improve the site speed, but allow search engines to index our site with ease, and hopefully make our family BIGGER!! – DONE!!
- Here at The Web Squeeze we listen to you!!! Your wants, your needs, it’s all about YOU!!! We know that this place would not be possible without your help, and suggestions! So, as per your suggestions we are working on Design 2.0 of the frontend article/tutorial system and the forum design to help our sites usability, and to make your life as easy as possible. – DONE!!
- I know, you’re shocked! Well, that’s not all! In addition to all the above work, our Squeeze Development Team plans on releasing TWO NEW MODS!!! Which two you ask? Well, that’s a surprise, so stay tuned! – DONE!!
As you can tell we are trying to make The Web Squeeze better, and we are just as excited as you are to see this community growing. It’s fun to participate in helping the next “BIG” thing come to life, and we love to have your input! Not a coder? That’s fine, submit suggestions to us in the feedback forum. We read each and every one of them, and reply! We want to make this place better, and we are willing to put in the work to make it that way!
