Starting Freelancing

Welcome to the first podcast for The Web Squeeze.  We are planning on doing regular podcasts every other week, all on topics related to freelancing and running your freelance web design business.  This podcast features the questions you asked about freelancing!  We’d love to read your thoughts on it, and suggestions for future topics, or questions you may have that you want us to answer!  So make sure to comment and let us know what you think!

  5. Marc Fraser says:

There must be something wrong with the download: it is only 20.4 MB, and lasts 00:22:16 hours.

    Marc

  6. Japh says:

I’d say try downloading again, Marc. Sounds like your download failed, do you have software that allows you to resume downloads? Might be worth trying :)

  7. Jacob Haug says:

@Marc I’ve downloaded it twice now, both times it worked and was 55.3MB. Sounds like a problem with your computer/network.

  8. JohnONolan says:

Very very very cool! Absolutely love it! Quality is great, and some REALLY interesting topics covered. Looking forward to much more! Will definitely subscribe to this in iTunes once you guys have it all up and working!

  9. Marc Fraser says:

I tried 3 times yesterday on the university network, and it didn’t work. Tried again today, didn’t work.

Tried on network at home, didn’t work. Downloads from other sites, etc. work fine.

    Strange.

  10. Jacob Haug says:

@Marc I don’t know what to tell you Marc, it’s working for everyone else. You could try downloading the podcast through iTunes, however, even iTunes downloads from our server. You could also try downloading the compressed zip version here.

Let me know if you manage to get it working for you!

  11. Freelancing can be very difficult to get into, but once you’ve built the contacts and you have the networking down it’s really all just about skills and time.

  12. alexgeek says:

Anyway, like the podcast. weird to hear Jacob’s voice, he’s always been a faceless enigma to me.

  13. @alexgeek – I totally agree! The first time we talked via Skype it was like the mystery was unveiled! LOL! It’s great to see you around!

  14. Anton Korzhuk says:

Really great info, looking forward to hearing about that contact podcast.

Got something to say? Go for it!
