		<description><![CDATA[Here is my Question of The Month!<br />
<br />
I just bought a new domain name and I want to replace my old domain name.<br />
I know the <em class='bbc'>rough steps</em> that I should take to make sure everything goes well in the conversion but I want a professional way of doing this.<br />
<br />
Here are my <em class='bbc'>rough</em> step:<br />
<ul class='bbcol decimal'><li>Create a [R=301,L] from the old domain name to the new domain name.</li><li>Slowly, change all links pointing to the new domain name.</li><li>Change all my Permalinks.</li><li>cant think of any more...</li></ul><br />
Let say I have this link format in my existing Wordpress:<br />
<br />
<ul class='bbc'><li><strong class='bbc'>www[dot]olddomainname[dot]com/tutorial/permalinks-goes-here/</strong></li></ul>at the launching day, I want to make sure all links will be updated with the new domain name:<br />
<br />
<ul class='bbc'><li><strong class='bbc'>www[dot]newdomainname[dot]com/tutorial/permalinks-goes-here/</strong></li></ul><br />
What will be the best way of doing this?<br />
I cant test this from my localhost.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Hey,<br />
<br />
I get 99% of my business from referrals and word of mouth. Pretty much all traffic to my website comes from people clicking on my forum profile for following links on twitter.<br />
<br />
I can't help but wonder what the potential for getting traffic from search engines is. Does anyone have any ideas what common searches are that people use to find web designers?]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I need a quick FACT here!<br />

		<title>How Important Is Unique Content?</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/How-Important-Is-Unique-Content-t6506.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[When writing descriptions for my photos (which I put on my website), I often just copy the description from Wikipedia (and of course give credit to Wikipedia), e.g. if I had a webpage showing a photo of Buckingham Palace, I'd probably just copy the first couple of paragraphs from the Wikipedia article on Buckingham Palace. <br />
<br />
  Now I could instead write my own description based on the Wikipedia article, which would likely end up being very similar, but different. Do you think it would make enough of a difference in the SERPs to make it worth writing my own descriptions instead of copy-pasting from Wikipedia?<br />
<br />
  Thanks<br />

		<description><![CDATA[Hello TWS! Been a while but I thought I'd check out some of the sites on the critique section (I always love to see what new designers are coming up with these days...). I do have a couple of questions for some of those SEO experts out there... If there are any anymore.<br />
<br />
Take a look at my site www.zadees.com and then click on one of the games to go to that page. That's the page where I want to improve SEO as much as possible. The problem is, it's dynamic. Anything in the code that I can do to make it more search engine friendly without having a ton of duplicate content on every page? It says its a .htm but its really a querystring that looks as a .htm file.<br />
<br />
Any help / advice is appreciated!]]></description>

		<title>Search Engines Search Options: The Web Vs Pages From The Uk/country</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Search-Engines-Search-Options-The-t5972.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[Happy new year to one and all, I hope it is good one for you.<br />
<br />
I had a nice surprise and saw my website move up one place to third for it's specific search term in Google SE. This result comes when selecting 'pages from the UK' selecting 'the web' shows my site has still moved up one but further down the page at about 8th. <br />
<br />
How much importance is there in 'pages from the UK/country'? Some browsers do not offer this option no? <br />
<br />
Also, am I correct in thinking that the country you are in will effect results despite selecting 'the web'? For example, when in the UK, sites based in the UK will appear before those of other countries and vice-versa?<br />

		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Mark-Page-Or-Image-As-t5809.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[I read the following on a website today:<br />
<p class='citation'>Quote</p><div class="blockquote"><div class='quote'>Increased Search Engine Optimization<br />
 • To further improve SEO, we are taking the major search engines’ suggestion of adding a “family-friendly” flag that indicates that an image is appropriate for children and does not include explicit content. Based on a range of keywords, we’ve automatically marked certain images as exempt from the “family-friendly” set. We ask that you do your part to double-check your archive and make sure all of your explicit content (nudity, violence, and adult themes) has the “family friendly” option unchecked. Because search engines punish hard for offenses, we will police this aggressively.</div></div><br />
<br />
This was on <a href='http://www.photoshelter.com/mem/forum/thread-show/FT000HhF3xI1CWiw' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.photoshelter.com/mem/forum/thre...T000HhF3xI1CWiw</a>, though I think you need to be a member to access it.<br />
<br />
Anyway, I couldn't find any info on how to 'add a “family-friendly” flag that indicates that an image is appropriate for children and does not include explicit content'. Any ideas on how you'd do this?<br />
<br />
Thanks<br />

		<title><![CDATA[Numbers Don't Lie]]></title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Numbers-Dont-Lie-t5484.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[If an SEO tells you, "I rank on page 1 for such-and-such search term, which has over 5 million results", are you impressed?<br />
<br />
This is a common defence that SEOs use when criticised over dogma: "I get these great results; you can't argue with that." And those numbers do seem impressive, don't they? Is it not a sign of true expertise when someone gets on the first page out of millions of results?<br />
<br />
Well yes -- the numbers do <strong class='bbc'>seem</strong> impressive. But no, it doesn't mean much in reality.<br />
<br />
I just checked on some of my search traffic, using Google Webmaster Tools. One search I noticed was "high serve". I'm ranking #2 for that search term, out of -- drumroll please -- 150,000,000 pages. Yes, that's right: <strong class='bbc'>150 million</strong> pages!<br />
<br />
I should probably use this fact to style myself as a god of SEO. Alternatively, I could brag about how great my content is: my writing is so good that I don't even need SEO! Both are tempting, but either would be a lie.<br />
<br />
Okay, my content <strong class='bbc'>is</strong> good, and it <strong class='bbc'>is</strong> popular. But not <strong class='bbc'>that</strong> popular. This particular page is among the least popular on my website. According to Webmaster Tools, the search term "badminton tactics" brings in more than 11 times as many searches as "high serve" -- yet it only has 186,000 results. What's going on?<br />
<br />
It's simple: the number of pages indexed tells you how many pages contain all the words in that search term. Both of these words, "high" and "serve", are common, non-specialist English words; therefore a large number of pages are in the index. The search term "high serve" is also not especially competitive, so it's not too difficult to rise to the top. Although it appears that I've won out against incredible odds, hardly any of those sites are even on the same subject (badminton); almost all of them will be tiny, trivial websites.<br />
<br />
Knowing this, you can see why the index size does not correlate well with traffic. Getting to the top of a large index does not necessarily mean lots of traffic! The index size is not a direct reflection of the number of <strong class='bbc'>searches</strong>, only the number of <strong class='bbc'>pages</strong> in that index.<br />
<br />
I've known SEOs to justify anything and everything with this lame argument. If they can't provide evidence or reasons for a superstition, they point to a big results page. I've even seen it used to defend hidden (or semi-hidden), keyword-stuffed &lt;h1&gt; tags.<br />
<br />
At the time, I swallowed the lie. Now I have a page that tops 150 million others, I'm not so easily impressed. <img src='http://cdn.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /><br />
<br />
<br />
<strong class='bbc'>Disclaimer</strong><br />
<br />
Please don't take this the wrong way. I'm not saying that all SEOs are charlatans, but only that you should be generally suspicious of the industry and its practitioners.<br />
<br />
SEOs are like car salesmen. A particular car salesman <strong class='bbc'>may</strong> be entirely honest and trustworthy; nevertheless, he deserves your utmost mistrust while he's trying to sell you a car. <img src='http://cdn.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[A few SEO questions:<br />
<ul class='bbcol decimal'><li>Does it matter how long the &lt;title&gt; is? According to <a href='http://www.w3.org/Provider/Style/TITLE.html' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>W3C Guidelines on the title element in HTML</a>:<p class='citation'>Quote</p><div class="blockquote"><div class='quote'>The title may be used to identify the node in a history list</div></div>Which is kind of what I'm doing, however I think I may have gone a bit over the top e.g. The title on one of my pages might look like:<p class='citation'>Quote</p><div class="blockquote"><div class='quote'>David Kennard Photography :: Life &gt; Animals, Plants, Fungi, Protists &gt; Animals &gt; Chordates &gt; Amphibians &gt; Anura &gt; Ranidae &gt; Rana &gt; European frog &gt; Close-up of eye of European Frog</div></div>That's 32 words / 179 characters. I presume I would actually be better off having a title like:<p class='citation'>Quote</p><div class="blockquote"><div class='quote'>David Kennard Photography :: Close-up of eye of European Frog</div></div><br /></li><li>I used to see websites with high rankings on google that would have a load of keyword rich links in their footer to various pages in their website. Does this still work?<br /></li><li>Are reciprocal links only bad if you're exchanging links with a website that just lists you on a long page of links? I was wondering on my photo website if each photo had links to the same shot on various photo sharing websites (e.g. Flickr), and the photos on the photo sharing websites linked back to the photo on my website, would this be helpful?</li></ul>Thanks<br />

		<title>Url Encoding Seo Friendly Urls</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Url-Encoding-Seo-Friendly-Urls-t5164.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[At the moment my URLs look like this: <br />
<a href='http://domain.com/Some-SEO-Text/More-Text/DatabaseKey' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://domain.com/Some-SEO-Text/More-Text/DatabaseKey</a><br />
<br />
The only bit of the URL that actually gets used in the site is the DatabaseKey, so the URL above would be re-written to:<br />
<a href='http://domain.com/page?key=DatabaseKey' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://domain.com/page?key=DatabaseKey</a><br />
<br />
What I was wondering was whether I should URL encode the 'Some-SEO-Text/More-Text' section of the URL. The URL encoded version of this part of the URL (when it contains 'special' characters) can look quite messy in the address bar (especially in IE) when compared to the same URL where only # ? % and &#092; have been encoded.<br />
<br />
e.g. if you try viewing this page in IE <a href='http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%8D%97%E4%BA%AC' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%8D%97%E4%BA%AC</a><br />
and then view the same page in IE without URL encoding: <a href='http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/&#21335;&#20140;' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/&#21335;&#20140;</a> (copy and paste the link into the address bar, otherwise the forum seems to automatically url encode it)<br />
you can see the unencoded URL is much easier for a human to read and understand. I'm guessing that a search engine would treat them both the same?<br />
<br />
So, is it a good idea to encode URLs or not?<br />

Therefore, if somebody were to search for service in that area, his business will be the first to pop up in Google.<br />

Given, that his <a href='http://www.pcmechanix.ca/' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>current website</a> shows up on the first page of Google when searching for TORONTO COMPUTER REPAIR. However, it does not seem to be found anywhere on the first 20 pages that I have searched on Google.<br />

He has duplicated the flash content to HTML pages for better search engine indexing but doesn't want the users to browse the HTML pages when they come from ie. Google. Is it possible to redirect everyone except search engine spiders to the index page where the Flash site is? I was thinking some cookie based redirecting but that redirects the spiders as well. <br />

		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Googles-Search-Result-Rating-Up-t3745.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[hey everybody...<br />
<br />
I am just wondering about this google up down arrow business. Is it merely for personal sorting, or if enough people vote for something, does it start to add value to that result?<br />
<br />
For example, a guy has 100,000 happy customers. 1 of them has turned sour and started a slander campaign and runs about 20-30 blogs to try and damage this guys reputation. I am wondering, if say 1000 of these happy customers then went through and buried these BS blogs in the google result, would they start to disappear from the front page results?<br />
<br />
See the green icon for an example of the arrow, if you don't know what I'm talking about...<br />

		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Hello-Though-There-Fancy-Google-t3650.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[Hey folks,<br />
<br />
I was just about to make some dinner and so I did a search for a recipe... something I've seen a lot is these nicely laid out extended breakdown of a site like so:<br />
<br />
<a class='resized_img' rel='lightbox[30004]' id='ipb-attach-url-1352-0-23457300 1284011248' href="http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=1352" title="Picture_2.png -  60.12K,  14"><img src="http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/uploads/monthly_01_2009/post-263-1231825082_thumb.png" id='ipb-attach-img-1352-0-23457300 1284011248' style='width:100;height:47' class='attach' width="100" height="47" alt=": Picture_2.png" /></a><br />
<br />
My query is, is this something that is manually achieved, or something google does on its own accord by websites that adhere to a certain page naming and description format or something?]]></description>

		<title>Wow Gold And Forum Spammers</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Wow-Gold-And-Forum-Spammers-t3515.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[I've been getting more and more spammers on my forum lately. I'm running phpbb3 and while I could easily get rid of the spam bots with an additional anti-bot question under phpbb2, phpbb3 supposedly had better and built-in ways of dealing the bots, and yes, I haven't had any problems - until now.<br />
<br />
But now the spammers are back. However, it turns out they may not be bots at all, but humans paid to crack Captchas, or actually register manually, wait a day or two with posting, then hit your forum with a bundle of crap with links to wow gold sites. Have a look at this thread on phpbb.com to get some more info on it: <a href='http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=6&p=7020955' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.p...6&p=7020955</a>.<br />
<br />
Now, unless you have "nofollow" enabled on your forum, supposedly all those spamposts on millions of forums generates very useful backlinks to the spammers site and helps him with his google ranking. Google likes, to a certain extent, backlinks.<br />
<br />
So, my question is: what if I allowed or even invited these spammers to post in a particular subforum (called "sponsors" or something, and to prevent that they would post and interrupt normal threads), would I be able to trade on those links? Are there any ways of trading on outgoing links?]]></description>

		<title>Looking For Bloggers</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Link-Exchange-f21/Looking-For-Bloggers-t2558.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[Launching this next Friday. Needs a tiny bit of work but the layout is about right.<br />
<br />
Web Design/Development Blog. Shall be posting a high quality post every 2 weeks. 2-4 smaller posts will be made in between each big post. Current traffic. 0, the site is new. I will be advertising it frequently. Hope to get up to a few hundred visitors a week by the end of the year.<br />
<br />
<a href='http://www.stanleywebdesign.co.uk/work/wordpress/' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.stanleywebdesign.co.uk/work/wordpress/</a><br />
<br />
Eventually I would like to lease out 2 ad slots, however there isn't much point at the moment. As a result I am looking for related blogs who want a slot. In return I would like a back link in a relatively obvious place. Your link image can be 120x120. To be a 100% clear, you will have a 120x120 ad slot in return for a back link on your website. <br />
<br />
General Terms.<br />
1) The blog cannot be directly tied to web design services. i.e. <a href='http://www.webdesigncompany/blog' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.webdesigncompany/blog</a><br />
2) You must blog frequently, at least twice a month<br />
3) Blog cannot contain adult content, swearing or l33t spk.<br />
4) Your 120x120 ad is of a relatively high quality.<br />
<br />
I'm happy to give one of these slots to the web squeeze. If your interested let me know. I don't need a back link from you if you want it. However this would obviously need to be reconsidered once I get some traffic going.<br />
<br />
If anyone is interested please PM me.<br />
<br />
Thanks]]></description>

		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Home-Page-And-Seo-t2482.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[I have a forum. By default the forum homepage is index.php. I have set the default directory page to home.php.<br />
<br />
To clarify.<br />
<br />
<a href='http://www.domain.com/' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.domain.com/</a> = home.php = homepage<br />
<a href='http://www.domain.com/index.php' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.domain.com/index.php</a> = index.php = forum list<br />
<br />
In SEO terms will this cause any problems?<br />
<br />
The reason why I have done this is because the forum has built up a fair SEO ranking over the past few years and to keep this ranking the forum cannot be moved. At the same time the site needs a homepage. <br />
<br />
I just need to confirm that this will not cause any issues. Could this lead to any penalties or a drop in rankings?]]></description>

		<title>Strange Rankings</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Strange-Rankings-t1977.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[I'm getting shockingly good rankings in broad searches, but strangely not doing much better in more specific ones. I'd like to know why that is.<br />
<br />
My site is called the <em class='bbc'>Badminton Bible</em>. Here's an example; look at these two search results:<br />
<ul class='bbc'><li><a href='http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=badminton+serve+technique&btnG=Google+Search' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>badminton serve technique</a> -- ranked 6 out of 154,000<br /></li><li><a href='http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=serve+technique&btnG=Search' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>serve technique</a> -- ranked 8 out of 22,900,000 (!)</li></ul>And here's another one:<br />
<ul class='bbc'><li><a href='http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=badminton+doubles+tactics&btnG=Search' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>badminton doubles tactics</a> -- ranked 4 out of 111,000<br /></li><li><a href='http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=doubles+tactics&btnG=Search' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>doubles tactics</a> -- ranked 7 out of 10,600,000</li></ul><br />
What the bejeezus is going on? Do I just need to use the word "badminton" a few more times in my text? I'm aware this could be an issue, but can it really have that much influence?<br />
<br />
The strange thing is that I'm thrashing my direct competitors in the really difficult rankings, but losing to them on the easy ones.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Heya<br />
<br />
I know that the "alt" attributes contribute to SEO, but I was wondering if the "title" ones do as well? I've been trying to keep it with the "alt" being the description of the image, i.e. photo of Eden project, and then for the "title" it's been something along the lines of "Information on the Garden Offers"<br />

Is that okay? Or will this not help the SEO for that particular page? <br />

The other person said that commas must be used. In example 1 search engines don't do the maths and you need to specify key words and phrases individually. Like I have in example 2.<br />

I'm currently doing a redesign of the website and thought to switch over to codeigniter at the same time. Maybe just use the codeigniter default urls so they would be like www.domain.fi/news/item/topic or something like that.<br />

What's my best option SEO wise to do the redesign? It's not the most important site so basicly I could just ignore the whole SEO but still it would be nice to consider that part at least a bit too.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[So, I'm finally getting around to setting up 404 error pages on my website, but I can't find this info anywhere on the web:<br />
<br />
Is it better to redirect to, say, /page-not-found.php<br />
<br />
OR<br />
<br />
Is it better to just include &lt;?php header("HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found"); ?&gt; and let the URL stay at the broken page?<br />

My 404 page is looking spiffy, though. It looks through directories in my site map to see if a page matches something in the URL. <title><![CDATA[How To Build Up Your Search Engine Friendly Url's]]></title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/How-To-Build-Up-Your-t741.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[What do you think is the best way for SEO optimization to build up a url?<br />
<br />
You see it in many different ways, f.e.:<br />
<br />
mydomain.com/2/ (I would say bad SEO, but better than index.php?id=2)<br />
mydomain.com/2/Pagetitle.html (pretty good, but hard to program different types of pages/modules, so maybe better:<br />
mydomain.com/p2/Pagetitle.html (i think that's ok)<br />
<br />
Now what I currently believe to be a very good option:<br />
<br />
mydomain.com/Pagetitle-p-2.html<br />
<br />
Because it contains less slashes and contains title.<br />
<br />
<br />
I was having a discussion (with lots of love as always <img src='http://cdn.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/air_kiss.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':air_kiss:' /> ) with delusion about this, because the url would seem "ugly" to a user. Because of the -p-2. Is "uglyness" an issue in usability or user experience in this matter? Is the url really important? I don't think anyone will even remember any url, however simple it would be. I would think IF someone remembers your website, they will probably still type mydomain.com and not mydomain.com/pagetitle.html. What do you think?<br />
<br />
Now i've been talking all the time about .htaccess mod_rewrite. Ofcourse there's the possibility to check a url in the database. So if someone types mydomain.com/pagetitle.html, you search for the string "pagetitle.html" in your seo table (or however it will be stored in the database) and return user to the correct page.<br />
<br />
My personal opinion is.... it will only use extra database load time on every page. Is it worth the extra load being able to use mydomain.com/pagetitle.html instead of mydomain.com/pagetitle-p-3.html ?<br />
<br />
<br />
Looking forward to your opinion. Ofcourse the programming part and load time isn't really the most important in this matter. Most important is the SEO of the url. Does it matter if it says pagetitle.html or pagetitle-p-3.html? I would think not. You?]]></description>

  I have created a script that can change text when roll over a link, all i want to know is that will this method seen by search engines or not ?<br />
  I mean the texts that will change are in html body, so will it help SEO because instead of using image rollovers i am using text roll overs ?<br />
  <br />
  you can see the example here :<br />
  <a href='http://www.datisdesign.com/' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.datisdesign.com</a><br />
  if you roll over the icons on orange area, the texts above it will change<br />
  <br />
  If you look at the page source you will see this part :<br />
<br />
<pre class='prettyprint'>&#60;ul id=&#34;top_services&#34;&#62;
 &#60;li id=&#34;web_design&#34; onMouseOver=&#34;changetext&#40;'main_content_header','Website Design','main_content_text','Nowadays having a website is like having a powerful tool for introducing your skills, abilities, etc. Doesn&acute;t matter if you are an individual or a huge company. I want to know that search engines can see this change text effect or not ? can they see the texts that are included in &lt;li&gt; tags ?<br />

		<title>Comment Exchanging</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Link-Exchange-f21/Comment-Exchanging-t353.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[Many of us here, I'm sure, have blogs, in which we would be looking for extra comments.<br />
<br />
My idea is that, we all comment on each others blogs. They must be related to the post. For example, if Simon posts on my blog, I post on his. That way, we all get more comments, and more hits, and links on other blogs.<br />
<br />
Good idea anyone? Post here if you wish to undertake it?]]></description>

Hi guys, <a href='http://www.coastercrazy.com' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.coastercrazy.com</a> is my baby. I run it on a dedicated server colocated here in California and we recently switched domain name from weeweeslap.com to coastercrazy.com We didn't do any good on page rank on the old domain name either. I know the first rule will be to change to a php forum so I use the URL rewrite, but that's reallynot an option now for me. I was hoping to get some pointers into how I can improve my page ranks. Thank you for your help!<br />

		<title>Bad Google</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Bad-Google-t170.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[As most of you will know getting good listings on google is not easy, especially if your site is new and there are hurdreds of other sites just like yours.<br />
<br />
Google Really annoys something rotten My SERP&#96;s should be higher for my targetted keywords but instead you get sites that have nothing to do your targetted keywords but have a forum post with your targetted keywords and blam they get ranked higher than you.<br />
<br />
You get lots of people all saying different things on how to raise your SERP&#96;s Im starting to believe they do not know what they are talking about, or maybe their keywords do not have as much competition as what Im up against.<br />
<br />
<br />
Take Live.com <em class='bbc'>"yes we know its not as big as google"</em> Getting Good SERP&#96;s on their SE is a lot easier than google but not faster. For my targetted keywords I have managed to get top positions on first page. And the live.com SE seems to be more relevant than google in my opinion.<br />
<br />
BAD GOOGLE.......<br />
<br />
Any of you guys and gals having similar problems issues with google?]]></description>

		<title>Where To Be Listed These Days?</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Search-Engine-Optimization-SEO-f19/Where-To-Be-Listed-These-t118.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[Even though I retired in early 2006 I still get the emails from so called SEO expert websites. Some of the info is definately recycled stuff I read in 2003 - 2006. Which lets me believe not a lot has changed ? LOL<br />
<br />
So are certain search engines no longer top notch and to be listed on them used to be it.<br />
<br />
Is it now just Google, yahoo, Msn and ask? what happened to the free directory which was such a pain to get on to and even a bigger pain to become a member of. Is that place dead or do just the ultra geeks hang out on there these days?<br />
<br />
One of my websites was a 5/10 for many years, in the last month or so it has dropped to a 4/10 on google rankings.<br />
<br />
What are the best tools and sites to be listed for UK customers?]]></description>

		<title>Jewellery Website Links</title>
		<link>http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/Link-Exchange-f21/Jewellery-Website-Links-t95.html</link>
		<description><![CDATA[Hi folks, firstly congratulations to the team for producing what appears to be a forum that will be interesting, entertaining and informative - let's all watch it grow!<br />
<br />
My company manufactures Black Zirconium and Titanium rings and we are the leading manufacturers of quality titanium rings in the UK.<br />
<br />
If anybody with jewellery related sites would like to one-way link to <a href='http://www.geti.cc' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>www.geti.cc</a> we would love to hear from you. In return we will link back to you from our jewellers directory <a href='http://www.diamond-yachtclub.co.uk' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>www.diamond-yachtclub.co.uk</a> This method gives more powerful one way links and will benefit both of us (in theory of course!)<br />
