Hey Dave!
Well I have to say, congratulations on your first sight!
Starting from the top, I like the flash header feature. I like the color scheme since it's original.
Coding looks very clean!
Content is good. Easy to find what it is the user wants to know and easy to navigate as well.

Just a few points to make on the design. It would be better in my opinion, if the flash photos were in color. Women love color. This is a salon so women will be the main customer obviously and by adding color you'd be making the design a bit more interesting.

I'd try to add photos to all the categories as well. I'm sure your client has nail books in her salon and scanning in some of the company photos of the products she uses would probably work. Or she might have product brochures and you could scan those. But adding images would finish off the site nicely!

Very good start! I'm proud of you!!

At first glance, I'm impressed. I'd lose the flash header though. I would just make it a static image.

I agree with mark. loose the header. Or maybe include in on the first page load, but then use a static image. the animation was cool the first time around, but on successive page loads, it quickly got distracting and annoying.

Great job! smile.gif I think this site looks professional. Your gradients/drop shadows are understated and effective. The colours are soothing.

I would dump the Flash header. It serves no purpose.

A few more photos would help. For example, the waxing photo (dripping green stuff) makes the page look much more attractive. Since this is a beauty site, I think you should have photos of beautiful people wearing not many clothes. Sticking with that page: how about some women with silky waxed legs, and buff men with waxed chests? Show the customers some beautiful people, whom they want to look like.

There's not much to criticise in the code, so I'll criticise this:

CODE
<h2>Ladies Waxing</h2>

<p>FULL LEG INCLUDING BIKINI  20.00</p>

<p>BIKINI  8.00</p>

<p>HIGH LEG BIKINI  10.00</p>

<p>UPPER LEG  12.00</p>

<p>3/4 LEG 17.00</p>

<p>UNDERARM 7.00</p>

<p>1/2 ARM TO YOUR ELBOW 9.00</p>

<p>FULL ARM 15.00</p>

<p>ABDOMEN 4.00</p>

<p>LIP WAX 5.00</p>

<p>CHIN WAX 5.00</p>

<p>EYE BROW PLUCK 5.00</p>

First, lose the all-caps. If you want the text to appear capitalised, use the CSS {text-transform: uppercase }. Second, those aren't really paragraphs; they're list items. Use a list. You could either use a <ul> (keeping the <h2>) or a <dl> (replacing the <h2> with a <dt>).

You definitely need to add some leading to all your text. At the moment, the text is squashed together. Try adding { line-height: 1.5 } to elements such as <p> and <ul>.

Just a quick note. I'd increase the line height a bit seems a bit squished on the text heavy pages. and increase the bottom padding for
the <p> tags a bit or try and move that add on the main page down a bit.

Other than that. Nice!
