Well, I'm certainly not a designer so I will just comment from my perspective of the site.
I actually like the navigation menu you developed, I think it is very creative and original, and looks cool! However, with that said, I think it looks as if it's missing a few links as far as design goes. Also, I don't like it being on the left hand side, I think it would be better if it were on the top, or on the left hand side. I think the top looks kinda empty and a menu bar might just fill that empty space. I don't really like the way the categories are styled, perhaps a 3 column layout would be better. You could have the menu bar on the top to fill that in, the twitter stuff on the right, and the categories and most viewed on the left. Also it seems like you are missing a footer. Overall it's okay, but it certainly needs some work. -------------------- Thanks,

Hey Jack!
I like this! What's the code so you don't see the dotted lines around a link? I know someone or you will know this.. I can't remember right now! I'm being picky but color always seems to be my thing. Are the blue in your name (header) and blue in the text the same blue? I think they are a bit different. The font for your name is nice! Get a little more content in and it will be good to go! -------------------- |

Is it not just CODE a:link, a:visited { text-decoration: none; As for the site, i like it, it has a very clear fresh look about it. I would maybe include some kind of footer, how are your design skills, could create something different? Love the navigation as well, different but it works Craig -------------------- |

Looks quite nice.
The sideways navbar is pretty, but a usability crime. I'm not keen on the default bulleted list styling for your twitter and "most viewed" sections. All your text needs some leading. Say, { line-height: 1.5em } Your HTML & CSS both need validating, but I guess you know that. QUOTE What's the code so you don't see the dotted lines around a link? CODE a { outline: none; } But use with caution; the outline is there to help people see where the keyboard focus is. Although not every browser does this, it's unwise to remove such a useful accessibility feature from those that do. If you do remove it, then you should really add an alternative effect to replace it (which could be an improvement, because the outline is not very obvious). |

Thanks guys, it's not done yet, gonna do some more work on it and report back later. Thanks for the error spot Simon. Also realised the navigation is only on the home page *duh*.
