I'm not sure about the background image that you're using... It doesn't look right. Perhaps you could consider having a white background and having the floor pattern from the header continue in a circle into the top of the content and leave that as the only image in the content?

The content area would look a lot nicer if you had a shot at rounded corners and considering you're using a black background, perhaps consider a "highlight" white shadow onto the background.

You are using a serif font for your content and although the serifs make it easier to read long passages of text, sans-serif (Verdana, Arial, Helvetica) make for much cleaner viewing, especially in a column based layout.

I would look at spicing up your navigation with some CSS tricks like padding, font-changes, :hover effects and even a background and perhaps consider having it run the length of the content across the top rather than sit there in the middle.

Add some padding to your main content area as it is presently too close to the edges for my liking and lastly, you don't have to have everything on one page or in the scope of one page. Vertical scrolling is perfectly acceptable so you don't have to try squeeze it in so close together biggrin.gif

I'm not a big fan of the site in its current form but I can see the potential there. I hope I've not offended in my critique and that my comments may come in handy.

Keep up the good work biggrin.gif

I wouldn't say that the design is clean at all.

Firstly the mock up is completely flawed. Your clients are not will look, or I hope will look nothing like 'client client client client'. I would have thought that each client would be put into a list or neatly formatted in some way. Its the same for projects.

You main navigation is boring. Why is the web squeeze link struck through? Why is the 'Welcome to InterAction Media' aligned right while your content is aligned left? Why are your titles different colors? What are the shadows on the left and right of your background?

Your current design, while needing some touching up is better than this new effort.

I actually like it. I like the background image and how it looks like a torch is shining on a back wall. I would agree that you need more padding in the main area, and it may be too much to have 3 columns in that area. I also agree that the main navigation is a bit boring. Other than that though I like where you're heading more than your current site.

I will take a proper look at the design when i have got more time, but just a quick note, use the random test lorem ipsum instead of repeating words, it's better to visualise

It's hard to give it critique without the visualization of what it will look like when it's complete.

Finish the site and then let us see. smile.gif

Hmm..

My 2ct:

The text is not centered.. It's all over the place.
The "glow" or "shade" on the left and the right make absolutely no sense. Get rid of it smile.gif
I like the header/background image, but use a different font. Blackmoor is NOT a standard font, just like Brush Script, so unless you have the font installed on your pc/mac by accident, it will show the times new roman.

looks better, but there's a gap between your menu-buttons and the content. Still, I think you should get rid of the w3c-badges.. Nobody cares..
The header would be better if the "sun rays" would fill from left to right (and top)..

but.. it's an improvement!

I like the main content area better now, it looks less crowded, but I liked the background better before. I'm not so keen on the sun ray look, I thought how you had it before where it looked like a flashlight shining on a back wall was more striking and different, but you're never going to please everyone! biggrin.gif

I like the flashlight look as well. The edges of the flashlight/wallpaper is more of a charcoal gray however. So you can see it doesn't match the black background causing there to be a straight line. Can you match the site's background to the graphic?

Hmm, I'm still seeing the line. Also the lit up bit seems darker than before, it doesn't stand out so much.

I still see a line too. Try color #0B0B0B as your background.

padding padding padding

You have a section on the homepage for each part of your navigation. Why have a navigation if everything is on the front page? Lighten up the content on the home page... no need for so much in such a tight space... after condensing the content space it out-- use some artwork to brighten it up a bit and add some character.

Web-safe fonts ftw too. Replace those crazy fonts you have with something a bit more readable (ie helvetica, arial, etc...).

You have so little there yet, your markup and css don't validate. What's the deal?
