Didn't read the comments but the article itself had few entertaining points. The battle between Windows and Mac people is always funny to watch smile.gif

The comments in this discussion are very very tame compared to what I've seen before biggrin.gif The world will adopt one single religion before the PC Mac debate is over.

Consider it from the opposite perspective: if people can be so vehement and uncompromising about so trivial an issue as PC's vs. Mac's, what hope is there of peace between religions?

Sometimes I think humans are pathologically tribal.

The only reason why I didn't switch to a Mac was because of the price. I WANT to TRY a Mac for a period of time before I make the switch. Spending $2000 on something I might not like working with, is a little too much of a risk to me.

So, is there anybody willing to lend me his/her iMac with OSx for, let's say, a month? smile.gif

Adobe MASTER Premium is what you should be!

I have no preference over PC, MAC and Linux.

I use all three daily. PC does alot of admin stuff (emails, internet things, bit's and pieces of artwork only able to do on PC) as well as C++, Java learning. oh and music!

Mac is used for artwork, page layout, web design, backup (Better character limits etc in mac).

Linux runs printer rips to a Konica Minolta 6500e, Konica Di850, and Epson SP 9800. As well as a few other little things, network security and extra storage space.

It's all down to what you have on it. I use XP Borg on my pc. Best thing i would ever recommend if you computer is going a bit slow. Loads of tweaks and apps which you can install with the OS rather then having to download everything as you go along.

Raid is better this way smile.gif If XP Borg crashes i can get a backup off my slave drive of all my files and split them into Raid2 again

Not all of us can afford a Mac? If Macs were same price as 'normal' PCs/Laptops, I would buy one right now.

so, you're admitting Mac's aren't better than pc's? smile.gif (Ferrari's are pretty, but if you USE them, servicing is a b*tch tongue.gif)

No, I was just using his analogy on price. Mac's are worth the extra money. To be honest, I am tried of all this Mac vrs PC stuff. I used Windows over half of my life. There's not too many operating systems I have not used. (DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Red Hat Linux, Ubuntu, Fedora, Darwin, THEOS, TinyOS, Solaris, SunOS, FreeBSD, GNU, OpenSolaris, Mac OSX....etc.)

I have only used a Mac for a year or so, so I can't speak about their previous operating systems. However, I can speak about their current system. After using is for a month solid, I said, I will never go back to using a Windows box as my main machine. Mac's are great, and are worth the extra cost.

But like I said.. It's a little too many penny's to "try out if I like it".. Catch my drift? For a Linux install I can create a dual boot. Not for MacOS..

Oh, I agree with you 100%! I know how you feel and like I said about 6 months to a year ago I was in your shoes. I'm not helping my case any, but I can assure you if you have not used a Mac before like myself, you will actually hate it for about a week. After that you will be in love. It takes some getting used to, but it is worth the investment. If I was rich, I would buy everyone on TWS a Mac so they can stop teasing me about my love for them. smile.gif
