Where Have You Been!

Well actually, a few weeks ago I was the victim of quite a violent attack, I wasn't badly hurt physically but was pretty traumatised because he put me through a four hour ordeal, tied me up with a cable and did various things and I did think he might kill me. But anyway, I'm doing ok, he's behind bars awaiting trial in November, so I can feel safe for a few months at least. I'm just trying to get back to doing normal things which is why I popped back here to say hi.

This is why we should still have corporal punishment. Cut off his winky and serve it to him with a cheap Bordeaux.

My god, that's absolutely horrible. I'm so sorry to hear you've been the victim of a crime that, even from your calmly-written outline, is enough to make the blood run cold. Ugh! It's like something from a horror movie.

I hope that you're able to make a full recovery, both physically and psychologically, and that your attacker remains permanently and securely imprisoned.

You already sound like you're holding it together pretty well. Just go easy on yourself; no matter how strong you are, it will take time.

Wow, that really sucks! That gave me shivers. I hope we can get you back on track here at the squeeze. If you need to "write it off", my mailbox is far from full, so go right ahead.

Thanks guys. I've kind of detached myself from it really in order to function, and of course I have two kids to look after so I can't afford to fall apart, but I have lots of supportive friends who are phoning and visiting all the time, and I'm starting some counselling soon.

OMG! That's awful Vanessa. I'm glad the $hit's behind bars now and I hope they throw the book at him. Look after yourself and trust me, the counselling should really help you. I'll be thinking of you and sending you lots of love and good vibes.

Thanks Rich and Popje! I am honestly doing ok, I'm not depressed and I feel positive about the future. I might be a bit of a wreck in November when the trial is on (which is expected to last one to two weeks), but at the moment I'm doing well, the sun is shining and I've got a box of Jammie Dodgers all to myself.

OMG how terrible. Good to hear you are doing ok considering all. All the strength to you.
