I wasnt really sure where to post this as i dont actually know how its done. I have seen it done though. I basically want it so that my website is only viewable in selected browsers and if the viewer doesnt have that browser i want it to prompt them to downlaod it. Is this possible????

Firstly i would recommend not doing this, as you are isolating a large portion of your visitors.

But, if you wanted to do this, you could use conditional comments, not JS:
CODE

[i]<!--[if IE]>
If the user is using Internet Explorer then this message will be
displayed, this cound prompt them to download firefox etc
<![endif]-->[/i]
I really wouldn't not display anything though, very bad idea IMO

Just to point something out. You are asking how to exclude visitors to your website in an accessibility and usability forum wink.gif
