So The Web Squeeze opened a month and a few days ago. We're getting settled in quite comfortably, releasing new mods for the forum, releasing a new/updated version of the main page and now it's time to get some more content in there wink.gif

We have tons of ideas on what to write about but we would like to know what you would like to read about!

Would you like to read about design tendencies? Mac stuff? Worpress tutorials? PHP tutorials? What?

Let us know by replying to this thread.

I'm not saying that everything will be covered of course but this will get our creative/writing juices flowing!

PHP would be good if someone could do it, there are a lot of posts in the php forum and these would be good articles.

Don't know if you deleted my article that i sent you by the way, guess it wasn't needed lol wink.gif

If you have any particular topic that you would like to see, then feel free to be more descriptive then just PHP, Flash...etc. In fact, the more specific the more help it would be. (e.g. Wordpress 101 tutorial, how to ....)

I would like to see two tutorials on Joomla Development.

One to create a template and another to develop a mod with a database connection and Admin side controller.

I think it was too small. (if my memory serves me correctly). You can check the guidelines here: http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/submission-guidelines.htm.

I would love a WordPress tutorial that went through the steps methodically from installation to changing the settings to transform it into more of a website CMS than a blog with archives, posts and categories. I'm still a little confused as to what each page versus post versus template actually is and what each of their proper uses should be.

Yeh i agree with this, just installed wordpress a few hours ago, and while it was actually quite easy, a good walk through would be very useful.

Here here on the Wordpress.
Lots of people seem to use it, so I think it would be a good tool to have a nice walkthrough on (that and it's free so any newbies can get straight into it).

Also if your learning PHP it's a good way to mess around with the code, see how things work etc

A simple guide to the basics of installing software via SSH with explanations of what the terms mean, that would be excellent! I've had to do a few things with SSH and it confuses me completely.
