Hi Y'all,

I already have a "to do" list for my site, but find it's hard to get our developer to find time to make the mods to our site. So I have to prioritize...

www.gomangofitness.com

Whaddaya think?

I also have a smf forum that needs to be branded:

go-mango forum

The site is ok, it looks a little older like it was designed a few years ago. If possible I would add a whole new look to your site that would complement the name.

The thumbnails and brief product description doesn't really make me want to click on it to see more information about the product. You should make better use of the space you have.

Hi Rickc,
The site does look a little old. Just because of the colors and graphics.
The main area with all the equipment could be spiced up a bit. Maybe instead of having so many, have it more eye appealing, but less items. And include either short descriptions, or pricing with them. Right now I just look at them and see oh, wow, treadmill, ok... Then wander away.

Maybe something as simple as throwing a background, or background color on the page would help. But the header and menus look a little tacky.

Great content - stuff, but your missing the boat when it comes to "corporate feel" serious site that sells. People want to feel secure when shopping online so if one thing is odd it tends to spoil the basket of apples.

Pros :
- Good colour scheme blue and yellow work well together looks fresh and healthy.
- Good navigation, easy to use.
- Good balance, eyes are drawn to the right places on the screen when you land.

So you got probably three of the most important things down but the design looks a bit old :
- The graphics are way too busy tone down the gradients and drop shadows. For instance on the left navigation headers you have a gradient that goes "grey-white-grey-white-grey-white-grey-white" you don't need all that, a very subtle change from a slightly medium grey to a slightly light grey will do fine
- There are too many fonts of different sizes, weights and colours. Try not to use more than 3. Big header, smaller header and content and occasionally use a different one for advertising etc. Don't mix white bold with drop shadow with black bold simple text. In fact try to lose the bold all together.
- There are massive benefits to hand coding sites try to do so

Hope it works out for you mate smile.gif

Design: okay. It's pretty easy to understand and use, and you have some good, relevant photos. However, the design is very busy, with too much visual noise, and some rather dated graphical elements. As rich97 said, there's far too much variation in your text formatting. So the design is functional, but needs cleaning up.

Notice that your design breaks horribly if a user increases the text size.

Code: bleh. Your website is ugly under the hood. The next steps here would be for you to learn about validating your code and how to use CSS for layout (rather than tables).

Is there any reason why a 7 month old thread has been revived?

Well apparently I was the "gravedigger" but I have no idea how it was at the top of the critique forum.

Sorry bout that let it die now.
