Sometimes I or one of the team posts something in the wrong forum, or is posts a stupid comment. Then again I'm not the only one some other members I've seen have posts that just say "POST EDITED" or say "Sry but I had to remove my reply" or "Nothing to say" etc...
Where did it go? I miss that ability, If I could have the ability, to say Delete my post for adleast 30 min. I'd be okay with that. (Even tho I prefer 24 hours, but who wants to read a post then find out the next day its gone?)

So please consider my request, it would help me and the hundreds of floating messages I come across daily.

Karinne he wants the ability to be able to remove his own posts for x amount of time. Hmmmm, I'm not sure as if I like this idea, as we are not running on a soft delete system....so once a post/thread is gone...it's gone! I'll see about this once we have a soft delete system running.

I think he means he wants everyone to have the ability to delete their own posts, if so, I second that idea smile.gif

If that's the case then that's DEFINITELY NOT going to happen before we have a soft delete system like Jacob mentioned!

Soft delete, suggestion have an archive based system, when its deleted send into the archive where only a hand full of users can access the archive (including the deleted person).

Sorry for not being concise.

Nah, that would just make things confusing. Having to setup permissions so that only the post creator and staff could see it, also having it sent after deleted to this archive area, then we won't know where it came from. The soft delete system can allow you to delete your post, and it's gone the second you delete it. But, staff can still bring it back from the dead or view the post if needed. It's a must have system, just not going to happen for about another few weeks....many mods ahead of that! wink.gif
