Notepad - Notepad is a free program that comes installed on Windows based operating system. This program will only run on Windows, but is great for building Websites.

Notepad++ - Notepad++ is another great text editor. This text editor is better then the standard notepad. It will run on Windows based operating systems.

TextPad - TextPad is a free based text editor, that will highlight and format you code correctly. Also it comes with some nice features to save you time!

HTML-Kit - HTML-Kit is a FREE complete Web Authoring System, like Dreamwever or Frontpage. This program will work on Windows based systems.

Crimson Editor - Crimson Editor is a free professional text based editor for Windows based operating systems.

Coda - Coda is a great text editor with loads of features. It costs $79.00.

skEdit - skEdit is $25.

BBEdit - BBEdit is a bit more spendy at $125, but it's a full featured app.

CSSEdit CSSEdit is $30.
