Hey,

I'm having problems when wanting to update a few pages.
I have a seperate folder on my portfolio that im using so the client can track progress on the website I'm doing.

The first upload was fine and showed what i had done so far. Now its come to upload version2 with further progress, even after i delete the old folder and replace it with the new one, its still showing the old version1,. The only difference is that 3 other pages have been completed and all the links work. But if you click on here http://www.simon-willan.co.uk/Kingshill/index.html you will see that none of the links work. Its still seeing the code as if it has "#" as the href.

What do i need to do to get this working.

Secondly click here http://www.simon.willan.co.uk/Kingshill/cars.html and you will see the bottom right picture is only showing the top few pixels. ( and the link to the home page works fine. )
But offline and through IE/FF/Safari and Dreamweaver its showing fine.

Any clues?

Thanks

The links are working, it is just that the pages that they are pointing to are not on your server. index.html and cars.html are working, but the contact page is either not on the server, or you have placed it in the wrong folder.

Are you sure you have uploaded them all into the right directories?

The contact and Kingshill Courier page do not work yet no. I just wanted to get the Cars page online with links working. They are both in the same directory so a simple '...href="index.html"'should work surely? or will i need the full path from the root for the links to work?

OK i see my problem. Im not sure why its happening though

Basically if i view the website i have designed through the computer that i designed it on (offline) it looks perfect in both FF and IE7

As soon as i upload it, The links stop working, and the Image on the right in FF is fine ( on the cars.html page )

If i now view this website on another computer. any other computer, The website is fully working, Links work. and it displays 100% correct in IE7.
In FF you will notice the image on the bottom right (cars.html) is squashed, and in IE it looks ok.

I'm not sure why im getting these differences when viewed on another computer.

Luckily its not so important now as, long as it works for everyone else smile.gif
