A real time-waster for me is css'ing a design I created. Now to make my life easier and to be able to crunch out more websites per month, I was going through a few psd-2-xhtml-services online. They do the work, I adjust it a little for use in our cms, website is done quicker, I can go on designing a new one.. That's my theory..

Now: can anyone recommend a service like this, are the rubbish, or is worth the money? OR, even better, is one of you willing to work with me on this one? If so, shoot me a pm or email with your price/ideas..

Just from a quick Google of "PSD to HTML", it looks like there are A LOT of options out there... I'd love to see some reviews to compare those services too smile.gif

I hate that part! But to start using these services I would really have to make sure I get high quality stuff. After all it's very important part and if you get a poorly designed/executed html/css, you are going to face problems in the future. I also would like to read some reviews or hear experiences.

I don't see a problem with these services. I'm actually thinking of ditching my "full" website service to just psd-to-HTML services. Converting mock-ups is quick and easy for me as I do this stuff at home after work.

Yeah, but the difference between a pretty much anonymous service and you, is that I'm sure, that if YOU do the css my code will be clean and and the standard I want them. smile.gif

I agree with you Mark, I'd be afraid of the code. Wouldn't it be fair to ask for several examples of their work before hiring them? Isn't that sort of like an interview?
Or find out if they have a money back guarantee or safeguards in place if their code stinks?

I don't have a problem with using outside services of any kind of it is going to increase productivity. Also if they don't take too much of the profit than it would make sense.

The first company I listed says they code to W3C standards, however, they are a little expensive. But, as I say...."You pay for quality." They offer examples of their work on their website, so you can see whether you like their coding styles.

I have done about 6 or 7 projects with psd2html.com. They deliver good work and offer money back guarantee (didn't need to use it).

velo showed me a few sites that psd2html.com delivered, and I'm impressed by the tidyness of the code. Good one to keep in mind.
