Basically the float:none will be choosen because it is more important than the float:left. Hehe... It's pretty hard to explain!

all the !important declaration does is increase the specificity to it's highest level, even above inline states
it can also be used as an ie hack, check this : http://www.evolt.org/article/Ten_CSS_trick..._know/17/60369/ item number 4 -------------------- |

Often, !important is used to draw more attention to a certain style rule. It is given dominance that way, since the browser sees that the rule is important and makes it it's top priority, so to speak. It's just another handy CSS trick

Exactly. Don't go using it a million times and confusing the browser with it all. It's only for things that are really important!

I never really use them! Not at this moment
If you have a complete specific CSS, you might not need them! -------------------- |

The only reason why they have it is for the world renown IE... But I've only had to use it once or twice with clients because it was being stupid like that in IE.
