My school is giving away a new ipod for whoever comes up with the best avatar. If someone on here wants to do it and maybe let me do some so it will be somewhat honest ill give you the ipod. Let me know

Wouldn't that be cheating? Getting a professional designer to work on it who in turn allows you to crop it before sending it off. I feel sorry for the rest of the people participating.

And yes it is cheating but at least the school would end up with a decent one, too many schools have fallen prey to bad design. It may be shallow but I'd be less likely to send my (theoretical) kids to a school which has a bad website/brand.

I would offer to do it but graphic design is my biggest weekness, I do mostly hippy-trippy stuff I can't do serious stuff like logos and characters.

You know that does give you a lot to work with. I'd go with one of the Greek or Viking gods, would be a cool "avatar" if you could find someone who's good enough.
