I know the "who's the best host" thing has probably been played out, but I think I've limited it down to 2 choices (and possibly a third). I've worked with Rackspace before and have always though they lived up to their reputation of being one of the best (and best supported) hosts around, however their costs reflect that too. I've also worked (only a little) and have heard a lot of good things (but also some bad) about mediatemple. Mediatemple is by far cheaper with their gridserver option ($20 compared to $100 for mosso - Rackspace's clusterred server option). As far as the dedicated servers go, Mediatemple is about half the cost of rackspace, but I'm sure the quality of their support and customer service reflects that as well. Has anyone had a chance to have an extensive history with either (or both) of these? If so, which would you recommend? BTW - this isn't just for my own site, but customer's as well. The third option I was looking at was the gatorhost.com reseller package. I've heard nothing but good things about them, although it hasn't been much to be honest. What do you guys think?
