If you make a post, then delete it, your name still shows up on the find new posts... even though there is nothing new.
I obviously have no access to the coding but I would assume that the delete button means that you have implemented the soft delete and you haven't put on an extra check for the find new posts  EDIT: Happens on forum list as well... Look at introduce here. Latest post by mark. Click on the thread... no post by mark

Crap! Yeah, we do have a soft-delete plugin, however, this is a new bug that I just found out about thanks to your post. I'll take a look into this, thanks Jason!
