First to post in the graphics forum eh, well here's an easyish (i hope) question to start.

I need a background image for my template, http://simplyfreeware.co.uk/db/, and need ideas.

I have never done a background and don't really know where to start. Any ideas would be appricitaed, i have tried google but all i get are pre css sites, need some help lol smile.gif

I think strips are alright as well, but maybe a little more than just stripes. I guess it depends on the type or amount of content you think will be displayed.

You have two bg's being outputted. One in your HTML:

<body background="images/bg.png">

and one in your CSS:

CODE
body,html {
    background-image:url(images/bg.png);


Take out the background from the HTML and leave the styling to the style sheet smile.gif

Good spot. unitedcraig, just remember that internal styles always overwrite external styles. For simplicities sake it is easier to have all styles in an external style sheet and leave html to what it does best (marking up content). smile.gif
