Right this really is a beginner question, but when starting to learn python, what software??

There is a python "thing" built into komodo edit, or there is the command line way - (sorry for the lack of technical terms).

For those learning it/that know it, which one do you recommend?

Cheers

Craig

Well it depends on what you want to use python for really.

To see how things go and how to import various libraries, having a bash around in the command line is good fun. I find this is doesn't help learning too much though as every command is awaiting another.

What you're best doing is writing some python files to day output things to the CLI and then calling them

$ python mypythonfile.py

Ideally, you want a text editor with python colouring and then you can play around. For web development with python I recommend Django.

I would go onto amazon and find a good book. The book will come with recommendations as to what software to use as well as give you something solid to learn from.
