I was looking at a comment added to the tutorial I wrote for jQuery last weekend http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/articles/intr...pt-library.html

And was suprised to find that there was a link to an Italian site that has reused my examples in a summarised tutorial -- the re use is not malicious nor theft as there are constant references that I was the original author. I just thought it was quite funny that my tutorial was rewritten (not translated, actually rewritten and reflected on) in another language.

One of the lines I used in my tutorial

biggrin.gif My assumption is that not everyone in Italy speaks English -- I hope I didn't scare too many people away from jQuery because of this...

Have a look at the foreign equivalent of my tutorial here.

Hee hee.. there are quite a few of foreign language comments throughout our main site. It's sort of weird not being able to read what they wrote!

Further

To deepen the topic, and compare these examples of code with its equivalent in Javascript "traditional" you can read the article by Luke Dingle.

Cool. smile.gif

I'm in the process of having my articles translated into German and Swedish (by volunteers). I'm quite looking forward to that.
