Does anyone have trouble with their clock? I am have Bootcamp and it seems that once every blue moon my Mac loses daylight savings time and leaps forward an hour.
The only fix I can find is to manually set the time back an hour then put it back onto automatic. Has anyone else had this problem? |

No, I've been on a Mac for several years and have never had a problem with the clock.

I've never had this problem either. Is it within bootcamp when you are running another OS, or is it with the Mac OS? Are you on Tiger or Leopard? Do you everything set correctly?

Hmmm, that is odd. So let me ask just a few more questions.
1) This does not happen every time you boot into XP, only sometimes. 2) What were you doing the times this did happen, anything on the Windows side that might be causing this? 3) Is this running through a VM like VMWare or Parallels, or is this running on BootCamp? 5) Is your Mac up to date with the latest OS updates, and software updates for the VM and BootCamp? 6) What is your current Mac OS? I don't use bootcamp, but have had strange things happens when syncing with the time servers. Do you still have the issue when you're not syncing to a time server?
I tried to do bootcamp a few times now... last time I tried it partitioned my drive incorrectly and I spent my weekend recovering with disk warrior. It wasn't fun. So I'm hating on bootcamp. I use parallels which I found good to be able to alt-tab between xp and osx fairly effortlessly and no dodgy partitioning which apple fudged up in the software. |

It happened again this morning.

I was playing a 4 hour ultimate risk marathon with some friends of mine on XP . I also updated virus scanner. Thats it.3) Is this running through a VM like VMWare or Parallels, or is this running on BootCamp? Bootcamp 5) Is your Mac up to date with the latest OS updates, and software updates for the VM and BootCamp? Its up to date 6) What is your current Mac OS? 10.5 My time was on automatic. I have switched it to manual. So hopefully it will stay corrected. The problem is with the day light saving time. I really have no idea why I keep losing it. |

Try downloading Onyx and verifying the preference files. I dunno if it'll help, but it might be worth a try if there's a corrupt file in there.
Onyx Download Page When you get it installed and running, click on Verify in the Onyx window, select Preferences from the button bar and click "Check!" -------------------- |
