Ok im starting my first full blown eccomerce project. i have played with lots of pre packaged stuff but im not impressed with much of it at all, but i dont yet have enough knowledge or time to sit down and design and build this site from scratch. OS commerece just looks hidous and the sites look like template driven Sh*t and to edit it is just a nightmare!!! is there any packages or software you recemond for doing this? im open to any suggestions but basically i have to be able to rip it apart to create what i have designed

Done this site using Magento. Hard to manipulate sometimes and things aren't that great yet. But constantly getting updated. Next release will be 10 times better |

Well.. an E commerce site should not be taken lightly. I suggest you either make time for it, or put up with template driven software..
Have a look at Joomla with Virtuemart as well.. -------------------- |
