So I have been working ridiculous hours lately, 9-11.30 weekdays then sundays 10-12.

But something I have been thinking about more is my future. Is this were i want to be blah blah.

So i have made a new resolution to myself. One night a week. I'm learning something.

So, every Friday night, I'm going to learn Ruby on Rails. Any pointers most welcome.

hehe... if you did it another night we could help each other out?

Really good to have someone on msn that uses google different or can see the question differently. Ruby on Rails was developed from C++ if im right... so will be similar links. Except im going to be software applications.

Things i can use for work! to make my life easier. The best one would be an program that i could throw a pdf onto, it will compress and add to email with correct references etc! Save me an hour a day atleast!

Good idea to dedicate a day for learning. I've found out that if you don't do that, there's always something else to do and you just skip the learning till next week, and then again to next week... Let us know how you both are doing.

I'm been learning Rails recently. If you know PHP then its pretty easy to map functions across. I recommend 2 books.

Absolutely Brilliant book!

This one isn't as good as the book above but if you know php then it sure is helpful when it says stuff like. h() = htmlentities etc. Furthermore in describing the differences between the languages really helped me hit the ground running. I am currently using them both side by side.
