Ok, as most of you know I am creating a forum using IPB, I am in the middle of changing it to look how I want it to look like.

In my other thread, I talked about how I wanted to make some money on this website/forum, so I got thinking of other ways, and I come up with this, what do you think?

- On the menu bar having a bands page, and on here is a picture of each bands, and once clicked on, has the basic information about them, pictures, add some music to it, and so on, so it is nice and easy for the non regular listeners to get a feel for there music. But I was thinking, should I leave this band page? and if a band wants to go on there, they pay me a certain amount of money, and then I create this page for them? because it is advertiseing there band still?

What do you all think?

Also, if I do create this, I would have to change it manually myself if they wanted say a new picture, or new song or so on, so would it be easier, once paid for, they have an admin section, where they can edit the text, pictures and so on themselves?

This is just a basic idea, and if any thinks its good, useless or so on, then please speak up.

Some might be willing to advertise, but with MySpace I'm not sure they will.

I can see you're thinking of ways to generate income.

I think listing the bands and linking to their MySpace pages/website might be easier.

You can certainly try it out and see if you have any interest. No way of knowing until you try this one in my opinion.

Trying to get artists from MySpace to a forum is like getting blood from a stone. It seems they have been brainwashed into thinking that MySpace will make them their millions with these few success stories that you hear. I am currently working on stuff for my site to try and get people using proper websites along side of MySpace. There is nothing worse than going on to an artists profile that has been made with one of those awful generators and they have filled it with glittery rubbish and videos
