Heya

Is it possible to rotate text by 90degrees? It's going to possibly give people neck strain, but it's what a colleague wants!

Cheers

Ask your colleague if he has a very good reason for it, else: tell him/her you won't do it.. completely useless.. smile.gif

Oh great, she can get the "nope, won't do it" reply! I thought it was insane at the time, but she can be a tad forceful!! If ya catch ma drift!! She's a marketing person and she and I clash quite often over things!!

Cheers Mark! BTW - what time zone are you in now?

As far as I know, you cannot do this currently. There is an IE-only solution (using filters); but that would be evil.

The CSS3 draft includes a module for rotating boxes, but I don't believe any browsers currently implement it.

Don't use any ie proprietary hacks.

If you absolutely need to do this use an image replacement for the text.

"No." would be the best thing you could tell your client on this one! wink.gif

I used images in the end. As far as I can tell, she's happy with that. As english is written l-r - do people automatically put their head on their left shoulder? I ask this because that's how you have to read the images that I've created.

People automatically feel annoyed. Some will turn their heads; others can read it without moving their heads (I can).
