How do you mean 'tells you'?
At first I asumed you meant accross the Title Bar on your browser but you've already got that happening on each page. |

This code is making the home navigation link stay white when you are on the home page.
CODE #homenav:hover, #home #homenav {current.css (line 10) background:transparent url(http://www.newbreedjesusfreaks.com/images/navbuttons/homehover.png) repeat scroll 0% 50%; } On the home page your body has an id of #home. The home <a> tag in the navigation list is #homenav therefore '#home #homenav' is true and the background is changed. Some of the other pages (such as About and Staff) also work. Rules has #phpbb as the body id so even though you have this in your css CODE #rulesnav:hover, #rules #rulesnav {current.css (line 34) background:transparent url(http://www.newbreedjesusfreaks.com/images/navbuttons/ruleshover.png) repeat scroll 0%; } #rules #rulesnav is not true and the background is not changed. |

I think what you are talking about is "breadcrumbs" Those you have to on your own unless its a forum than most do it automatically. But for your site you have to do it automatically.

I think what you are talking about is "breadcrumbs" Those you have to on your own unless its a forum than most do it automatically. But for your site you have to do it automatically. He's not talking about breadcrumbs; he's talking about the "you are here" effect on a main navbar. But while we're on the subject: you don't have to make breadcrumbs "by hand". On my site, for example, the breadcrumbs are generated from the URL, using PHP (here's an example page). Early on in development, before I learned PHP, I made the breadcrumbs by hand. It took ages. Using scripts to generate navigation can save a lot of time on content-heavy, well-organised, hierarchical websites. At the moment I'm working on a script that will use a (minimally coded) table of contents to generate all the navigation inside an article. This is mainly for next and previous pages, but also for "hidden" meta-navigation with <link rel="...">, such as sections and subsections. Comprehensive <link rel="..."> takes forever to make by hand. As well as saving time, using a script eliminates the possibility of mistakes (well, as long as the single TOC file is correct).
