having just installed wordpress on my site, was going to work on m site through WAMP.

BUT, the local version of my site gives me a database error message, which makes sense as i have not got a local version of my WP database.

How do i download the actual database from my server, and where do i save it to when i do??

take a look at the previous post http://www.thewebsqueeze.com/forum/MySQL-f...Dump-t1268.html. Try using SQLyog or Navicat or something that will allow you to do an SQL dump and save it to your desktop. Then connect to your localhost and import the dump.
