I've never really messed with forum skins before, but I think it would look a lot better if you took out most of the borders on it. With all the background colors, border spacing and borders, it makes the forum look way too busy in my humble opinion.
Wish you would've gone with Vanilla, but I suppose it's too late for that

We could try that (removing the borders)
As for Vanilla, I use it on one of my clients' site and quite like it. Although it stopped working a few weeks ago and started displaying and update page. I've been trying to update it ever since without success

You should also remove the borders on the forum index page, too
Then add a width to the columns, because they're uneven and it bugs me!I definitely like it better so far. -------------------- |

If you make the background of the bar with the buttons "top", "report", "quote" and "reply" a bit darker, I'm happy.. It devides the posts a little.. now it looks like one big page with letters and a vague background..
